A set of skills split into desired for children to have when starting P1. The skills are stated as “I can…” statements which are simple for parents and carers to understand. I have also tried to give some examples of ways to achieve the skills where appropriate.

Worry Monsters are a cute resource to encourage our little people to speak about their worries and emotions. I have created a little poem to accompany my own Worry Monster ‘Wesley’. I have created a standard poem which can be printed straight away and I have also created an editable version in which you can change the name, add your own name and the picture of the worry monster you have. If you want to print the poem bigger or smaller then please change the scale on you print options and change accordingly :)
